Guests will truly enjoy River Haus: a rustic one bedroom, one bath cabin while listening to the sounds of the river running by from the open deck overhanging the river. A fisherman's paradise - trout fishing right in front of your own cabin - catch your limit on the beautiful clear waters of the fast-flowing Chattahoochee River.
The property is close to the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve. This perfect spot for rest and relaxation is located close to nature and the headwaters of the Upper Chattahoochee River. There is something for everyone in the area- fishing, hiking, river tubing, or horseback riding at Sunburst Stables, or just relaxing on the deck. It is located only 1 mile from the vibrant center of Helen, GA. It's the perfect vacation cabin for a couple.
River Haus is lovingly cared for and features a cozy stone fireplace, pine paneling throughout, and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need. It is located just minutes from the shopping and dining of the delightful alpine village of Helen, GA, and a short drive to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Smithgall Woods Center, and Unicoi State Park.

I booked the River Haus two years ago, but was unable to make it there until this month. The cabin was well worth the wait. Its a beautiful cabin, stocked with everything you could need. From the darling decor to the books on the nightstand, this cabin has been put together with thought and purpose. The location cannot be beat. Being able to sit on the deck and watch all the tubers during the day and enjoy the fireflies at night, this cabin is all I could have ever asked for. The River Haus is also within walking distance of the town center so you really feel like you are in the middle of everything.

We visit Helen a minimum of once/year. River Haus has been one of our favorites so far - its in the perfect location around town - close to everythingcan walk with my fold up rolling cart to Bettys Country Store to restock on supplies, Also, LOVE that it has the Hooch (river), a fireplace, AND an outdoor fire pit!! The dwelling itself is the perfect size, appears well taken care of, and is the perfect size for couples (could even fit another guest on the couch, if desired). Note, parking is limited (small-ish off-road slip right in front of the cabin)if you arrive in more than one vehicle, or take a large truck (like we did), this could be a problem. Also - there is a road on the opposite side of the river, so if that could be a bother, may be of consideration (the sound of the Hooch drowned out most of the road noise, but it still annoyed hubby).

This was a great get away. This was our first trip to Helen and I could have picked a better Cabin it was clean very comfortable. Love setting on the deck and watch the tuber go by. Not far from downtown and shops. Just down the street is a great area to take pictures of a water fall. Cabin was well equipped with what you need for cooking.

If guest chooses to opt out of paying the mandatory DPF a substantial deposit will be required and placed on the guest's credit card in lieu of DPF. This money will be held until a post departure inspection is completed. If there are no charges against this deposit, deposit will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Please note that once you have chosen the deposit option, to change back to the Damage Protection Fee, you will incur a charge of $100.
