This property is nestled in Murray Cove with calm waters and peaceful sounds of the lake. Large vaulted wood ceilings and bright windows fill the home with ambient light, and the open layout provides a perfect gathering space for families. Large decks including a screened-in portion and covered outdoor patio with comfortable seating make it easy to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
This home features a spacious open layout with high vaulted ceilings, a stone wood-burning fireplace, and large beams and windows. The four large bedrooms provide 3 king beds and a bunk room that can easily accommodate groups and families. New renovations including vintage light fixtures, stylish furniture, and bright paint give this classic lakehouse a modern rustic feel.
Summertime on the Lake is good vibes and lots of fun. Good times, good music and good food!
Check out Lake Burton Grill & The Farmhouse at Waterfall Club for a wide variety of meals to choose from.
The boathouse deck features plenty of seating including sun-lounger chairs and a patio table with an umbrella. Ideal for sunbathing, bbq, swimming, fishing, and enjoying the idyllic scenes of Lake Burton. There are 3 kayaks provided for guest use.
Lake Burton drawdown schedule:
November 1, 2023 - Lake starts down gradually from Normal (1865.0 elevation)
January 15, 2024 - Lake is 13’ feet down (1852.0 elevation)
January 26, 2024 - Lake starts up from (1852.0 elevation)
March 1, 2024 - Lake is within 5’ feet of Normal pool (1860.0 elevation)
May 1, 2024 - Lake is back to Normal summer pool (1865.0 elevation)

- This property is located on a graded, gravel driveway. Most vehicles will be fine, especially FWD vehicles. Vehicles with extra low suspensions may have an issue.
- Georgia fishing license required for fishing on the property. Licenses can be purchased online for as low as $5/day.

I had a wonderful experience with staff. We had a credit to use towards a rental and the process could not have been easier. Staff was very kind and helpful. I called on a Sunday not even sure if anyone would answer and they picked up on the first ring.

Burton Bass Lodge was breathtaking! As soon as we pulled up we knew we were going to have a great vacation. The house was extremely spacious and comfortable. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. Bathrooms in every room, comfortable beds, games to play. I wish the weather had been a bit warmer for us to enjoy the lake more, but I guess we will just have to go back!

Great Winter Escape! We really enjoyed our stay at Burton Bass Lodge. The house was spacious and nicely furnished. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and playing games around the nightly fire. The bunk room was perfect for our teens, who also enjoyed some time on the water in the provided kayaks. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation!

We had holiday week at this house! We hiked (Angel Falls was our fav), we went on a great ATV tour at Sunburst Adventures, we kayaked on the lake, we burned alot of fantastic smelling firewood and we did not want to leave. The kids room is great, loved everything about the master and appreciated the stocked kitchen. The driveway was a bit hard to find and learning both ways onto the street helps alot. Having an SUV is definately helpful. We rent houses everywhere, Im a bit picky...this one gets my complete approval for future renters. :) We were very happy with our vacay!

• The Damage Protection Fee depends on the size of the property.

If the guest chooses to opt out of paying the mandatory DPF, a substantial deposit will be required and placed on the guest's credit card in lieu of DPF. This money will be held until a post departure inspection is completed. If there are no charges against this deposit, it will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Please note that once you have chosen the deposit option, to change back to the Damage Protection Fee, you will incur a charge of $100.
