Firewood For Firepits and Fireplaces
Bring your own firewood for the firepits and fireplaces *(not supplied).
Firewood can be purchased at nearby grocery and convenience stores.
Firewood can also be delivered to your property. If you would like to have firewood
delivered to your cabin, contact Tanglewood; they will sell it to our guest and deliver.
Hester's Hideaway is located 2+ hours away from Atlanta. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. We are located within 15 minutes of the most beautiful wineries (The Cottage, Frogtown, Wolf Mountain, Kaya and many more). Just a minute's drive to amazing waterfalls, swimming and hiking (Desoto, Dicks Creek, Helton Creek, Blood Mountain). And OH what views you will find, take a drive through the beautiful North Georgia Mountains and see where it will take you. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We are only 14 to 16 miles to downtown Cleveland, Helen, Dahlonega, and Blairsville. If you are in need of some shopping therapy, there is the North Georgia Premium Outlet which is located in Dawsonville about 30 miles. ***How about Antiquing? There is a firepit to go out to and warm up to and roast marshmallows. If that's not enough and you want to star gaze, throw the hammock up and just meditate.
This property is Pet Friendly and a one-time pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $150 and are non-refundable. This fee covers up to 2 dogs MAX weight per pet of 50lbs. Please view the Pet Policy below.
PET POLICY
We have some properties that are designated "Pet Friendly''. This option is stated on the cabin profile. In the event, Guest's party includes a dog, Guest shall register all dogs on the booking page at the time the Reservation is made to ensure that the rental property Guest is requesting is pet-friendly property.
In addition, In the event evidence of a dog is found at a rental property that is not pet-friendly or the dog is not registered in the Reservation, Guest shall be assessed a minimum charge of $250.
All dogs must be on a flea prevention program and are not allowed on furniture, on the blankets and/or any linens, in hot tubs or left unattended at the rental property. Guests agree that they will not use any linens or towels for their pets. If fleas are found inside the rental property upon Guest's departure, Guest shall be responsible for any and all fees incurred for extermination services.
If the rental property requires additional cleaning due to the dog, Guest shall be charged accordingly. Pets must be completely house broken and well behaved. Pets shall NOT be left uncrated while alone in cabin. If evidence of dog urine or feces is found in the rental property, a minimum charge of $250, together with the costs and expenses of additional cleaning services necessary to remove hair, odors and/or stains shall be charged to credit card on file.
Guest agree to pick up waste from the grounds and deposit in outside garbage cans. Guests are responsible for the actions of their pets and all damages that may arise from having a pet on the property. Cabin Rentals of Helen, managers, nor home owners assume any responsibility or liability for Guest(s) pets.
Cabin Rentals of Helen does not allow any other type of animal, including cats.

Hesters hideaway is beautiful and in a perfect location. Located centrally between Helen, Cleveland and Dahlonega. Nice rooms and very clean! Definitely will recommend and would love to stay again.

Check-In / Check-Out
- Contactless Self Check-In at 4 PM.
- Check-Out is at 11 AM.
- Early Check-Ins and Late Check-Outs are currently not available due to Covid-19-related cleaning requirements.
- 50% payment is due at checkout for bookings further than 15 days out.
- 2nd 50% payment due 15 days before arrival.
- If your arrival date is already within the 15-day window of arrival full payment will be required at time of booking.
