The property is close to the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve and there is something for everyone in the area: fishing, hiking, river tubing, or horseback riding at Sunburst Stables or just relaxing in the hot tub on the deck as you watch the river flow by. This perfect spot for rest and relaxation is located close to nature and the headwaters of the Upper Chattahoochee River and only 1 mile from the vibrant center of Helen, GA. This cozy cabin is located just minutes from the shopping and dining of the delightful alpine village of Helen, GA and a short drive to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Smithgall Woods Center, and Unicoi State Park. It is the perfect vacation cabin for a couple or small family.
River's Edge is lovingly cared for and features a cozy stone, wood-burning fireplace, wood paneling throughout, and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need.

nice and easy
Property
The property is very rustic and a bit on the old side but very clean and very proud to stay here. Is a little more private than some of the other comparables, which I like. Reminds me of my father-n-laws old country house only the Rivers Edge is much cleaner. Please don't think that a little old and outdated does not mean clean as by old I mean lived in vintage. This place is about as clean as you can expect from a rustic old house. Doors shut nicely; locks work great and there PLENTY of dry storage under the house. We put 5 bicycles, a large tool box, personal items like expensive remote control cars, fans, extension cords and lots of other stuff right under the house. So you can bring it all on this vacation. The water and plumbing work great. Has a nice hot tub, a really nice large deck over the water. TV's are nice and the Hotub is a nice extra. Can fish off the deck, float down the creek, go jogging, shop and cook out with the provided gas grill. Is at the end of a dead end street so few worries of my kids getting ran over. They ran, played, rode bicycles, played catch and not one car ever drove down the road. Is PRIVATE and SAFE but still in the community. Beds are nice size queen, queen and a king. If you think you need granite and perfect tile around every corner then you won't like the room as it is just a warm and livable house. You will still like the space, Wi-Fi, location, privacy, deck over the water. I am staying here for my 40th birthday and am super excited. My kids loved it and so does my wife. I would rather stay here in this environment instead of in a super modern room loaded with granite and fresh tiled showers, even for the same price. Country cabin at an affordable price and we just LOVE it.

- The Damage Protection Fee depends on the size of the property. A $25.00. $55.00 or $75.00 non-refundable damage waiver is added to every reservation. This waiver will cover up to $700 for accidental or inadvertent damages. This is only applicable if the damages are reported at the time of the incident.
- If guest chooses to opt out of paying the mandatory DPF a substantial deposit will be required and placed on the guest's credit card in lieu of DPF. This money will be held until a post departure inspection is completed. If there are no charges against this deposit, deposit will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Please note that once you have chosen the deposit option, to change back to the Damage Protection Fee, you will incur a charge of $100.
